You will be responsible for managing/participating in complex global supply chain security investigations including cargo theft, counterfeit, product tampering, and various types of product fraud. Position is responsible to manage the GEO based supply chain security function by conducting virtual and on-site audits of transit lanes and warehouses where Seagate product is regularly moved and/or stored. This position can include occasional global travel with emphasis on the local GEO.
Position must keep abreast of significant developments in cargo theft, counterfeit and other criminal activities and routinely assess potential impact on the Company. Position is responsible to work to define locally effective processes and procedures to investigate and reduce counterfeit products, as well as work those procedures with the other company counterfeit and supply chain security teams to continue to develop the Best in Class functions.
The position will work with external service providers to leverage cargo security resources and to monitor compliance with contractual security requirements at the regional level. Position will need to review and make changes to local logistics contracts and RFQs.
Successful candidate must show ability to effectively manage the consequences of a crisis to ensure business continuity.
Qualified candidate must have experience managing complex, multi discipline programs involving multiple stakeholders.
Candidate must have experience successfully managing third party vendors
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage investigations and resolve incidents of product fraud, counterfeit and cargo theft. Experience using e-commerce/on-line auction sites in investigations a plus.
Candidate must have knowledge and field experience in supply chain security, AEO/TAPA requirements, CTPAT, and other trade security initiatives.
Previous experience in a Supply Chain environment in a large global organization is a must.
Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of management, presenting difficult information in a non-confrontational manner.
Previous experience liaising with Law Enforcement on investigations is highly desired.
Previous experience and/or strong desire to learn corporate inventory, shipping, and warranty systems required.
Previous experience in a Corporate Security environment in a large organization is desired.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of related experience.
