Be an experton 8-bit AVR microcontrollers, successfully aiding internal teams in product definition of features and specifications for next generation of devices. Support root cause analysis, tools development, ease of use as well as supporting customers in all phases of their designs, and how to implement them to create fully functional applications Write application notes and technical materialthat describe concepts and usage of peripherals or cutting edge technology into end user applications. Identify common and reoccurring challenges for customers and resolve this to scale support efficiently. Solve general issues once and for all. Develop cool demo applicationsto highlight the key features of AVR products for use by the sales force and at tradeshows or that our customers can use as a blueprint reference for their application development. Debug, modify and patch existing code to resolve bugs, or add required functionality or tailor performance to meet the customers needs. Attend tradeshows, customer trainings and technology days to represent Microchip/Atmel and demonstrate AVR products Provide technical support toXYZ Sales and key customers, with focus on AVR and integration of AVR with other XYZ products and technologies. Engage with XYZs user communities and mass-market outreach programs. Visit customersin all industries, segments, and locations in the world for on-site critical support and training on all XYZ software, tools and devices, finding root cause, and providing solutions utilizing your embedded C and Assembly programming skills as well as experience in system-level hardware debugging. Run trainings on the broader support organization on AVR products, to enable first line support and the field teams to resolve majority of issues. Produce world-class training material for XYZ Sales and Customer seminars, and participate in training and seminars to promote and boost activity around AVR.
4 to 6 years of experience designing embedded applications. Prior experience withembedded firmware development and hardware design / developmentand debugging. Experience with customer interaction and project execution. Experience with design and/or analysis of schematics and printed circuit boards.
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Fluency in English written and oral.
Experienced - C programming and Assembly languageknowledge are mandatory. C++ on embedded systems is an added preference. Passion to learn and share knowledge and willingness to invest in learning new skills. You tolerate sudden and frequent changes in priorities, and are able to balance many tasks in parallel.
